Owned and run by Diana Wood, Designs@Dogtrap provides a professional web & graphic design service to clients to help meet their marketing needs.
Diana's passion for graphic design began at an early age, when playing around with the development of flyers for her parents', Outwest Angus Stud at Coonamble.
While just a hobby in her school years, after completing a degree in Economics with a Marketing Major at the University of Sydney, Diana went to work at the Balmain Leagues Club in a promotions role.
It was in this role that the opportunity arose for Diana to learn a lot more about the graphic design process, with the opportunity to help with the development of the in house promotional material at the Balmain Leagues Club.
After leaving the Balmain Leagues Club and a move to Armidale in northern NSW in 2006, Diana's career in graphic design was again put on hold when she took a role with BREEDPLAN at the Agricultural Research Business Institute.
An in house promotion saw Diana take on the role as Executive Officer for the Murray Grey Beef Cattle Society and it was with this role that Diana's passion for web and graphic design was really ignited. A significant part of this roll was promotion of the Murray Grey breed, which saw Diana help rebuild and maintain the MGBCS website, graphic development of all advertising material and flyers for the MGBCS, graphic development of advertisements for members, content development for brochures and the website, press releases, write stories, act as editor for all publications and take photos when out and about.
With the support of her husband Simon, Designs@Dogtrap was created at the end of 2011. Following the production of a sale catalogue for the McLachlan Group and completing the work associated with the promotion of this sale, Diana realised the potential in offering web and graphic design services.
Starting her own business was the perfect opportunity for Diana maintain an income and also spend time with her family, after Diana ceased full time work with ABRI to become a mother to Jack in September 2010 and then Lachlan in July 2012.
Diana still maintains a part time role with ABRI and is currently working with the Dorper and Red Angus Society in a promotions and administration role. Diana is also contracted to do administration and web and graphic design work with Australian Topstock.
While Diana has a strong background in the rural industry, Designs@Dogtrap is perfectly set up to help businesses of all sizes and across a range of industries develop a marketing and promotions program to suit their needs.
